As a Sr Principal Consultant, Client Partner at Oxalis, you will play a pivotal role in driving our success in the California public sector through innovative, strategic, and trusted advisory services. This role is integral to our vision: you will leverage your leadership, relationship-building expertise, strategic account thinking, and industry knowledge to help our customers solve real and meaningful problems. Your ability to work directly with senior public sector leaders - often at the CIO, Deputy CIO, and program-executive level - and quickly build credibility will be essential to shaping our impact. You will lead teams, create and execute account strategies, expand existing customer relationships, and guide Oxalis pursuit efforts for major opportunities. You will be at the forefront of defining how we help California agencies modernize operations, implement high-value technology solutions, and deliver better outcomes for the public. Your commitment to excellence, combined with a deeply customer-centered approach, will drive growth for both our clients and Oxalis.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Leadership: Manage portfolio of multiple engagements within one or two large public sector customers totaling over $5M, taking full ownership of project outcomes and ensuring successful execution.
- Develop, maintain, and execute multi-year account plans that protect existing consulting business, expand Oxalis’s footprint, and identify new opportunities to deliver outstanding outcomes to customers.
- Collaborate with other Oxalis leaders in leading the operations of our business and contribute directly to the growth of Oxalis.
- Serve as the primary executive sponsor for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and proactive relationship management.
- Lead and mentor teams of consultants and technical specialists, guiding them to solve high impact problems and deliver cutting edge solutions.
- Consult on Enterprise Service Management, IT Service Management, Agile software product development, and Project and Portfolio Management operating models, identifying pain points and providing expert guidance to align solutions with client goals.
- Identify, qualify, and shape new consulting opportunities by uncovering client needs, aligning Oxalis' capabilities, and collaboratively defining solution approaches.
- Represent Oxalis as a senior leader in customer meetings, executive briefings, conferences, and industry events to strengthen our presence and reputation in California.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior public agency leaders, including CIO-level executives, and to influence decision-making in complex organizations.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing account plans, protecting existing revenue streams, and driving significant new business growth.
- Strong familiarity with California public sector procurement processes, including experience leading successful proposals for consulting services.
- Experience identifying opportunities, architecting solutions, and leading pursuit teams to win complex consulting engagements in the $2M-$10M range.
- Ability to rapidly learn and position Oxalis solutions, methods, and delivery capabilities with credibility and confidence.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a similar role at a consulting firm serving California state or local government customers.
- Demonstrated history of influencing and shaping complex digital transformation, enterprise service management, IT operating model, or modernization initiatives at large public agencies.
- Experience with Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Align, Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello, and Guard.
