About the Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and driven candidate to support Michigan Founders Fund as a Program Coordinator. This role will be a critical and versatile member of the team, working closely with the Executive Director and other leadership to support strategic programming, stakeholder management, special projects, and events.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support the Executive Director (ED) with executing an engagement strategy focused on key stakeholders, including boards, advisors, members, and investors
- Assist the ED with preparing for stakeholder meetings and events, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking notes, drafting reports and presentations, and executing follow-ups
- Develop and manage an internal ecosystem calendar of events and opportunities, for regional event awareness and identifying partnerships
- Support the leadership team with developing and managing strategic planning processes, special projects, and related communications
- Coordinate internal and external events, both in-person and online for startup founders and investors through collaborative programming
- Maintain, update, and improve organizational processes and file management
- Track program-level goals and metrics and develop shareable reports
- This position occasionally requires work beyond typical business hours when necessary to participate in events or meet deadlines
About You
- Experienced in project management, communications, event planning, and/or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and results driven
- Able to effectively manage time and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Curiosity about the Michigan’s innovation ecosystem and energized to be a part of growing organization
- Commitment to equity and creating pathways for underrepresented entrepreneurs
- Excited to learn new skills and willing to flex into different areas of the organization to support the team
- Based in Michigan, and able to travel throughout the state as needed
- Familiarity with project management leading practices is preferred
- Experience planning and executing meetings and events is a plus
- Experience with process improvement and creative problem-solving skills is a plus
Additional Details
The Program Coordinator is estimated to start work in Fall 2024. This is a full-time position and is hybrid/remote-based (within the state of MI) with the requirement to travel to work with team members in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and other regions of MI as needed.
This position is salaried with health insurance benefits, 401(k), annual travel and professional development stipend, and generous PTO. Annual salary is estimated at $55,000 - $65,000, based on experience.
