About the Position

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and paying our organization's bills in a timely fashion as well as providing financial and administrative support for the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Performs accounts payable functions including creating purchase orders, invoicing, and reviewing of accounts payable documents.
  • Codes and reconciles credit card statement and processes outgoing credit card and ACH payments in compliance with financial policies and procedure.
  • Manages general ledger entries and reconciles when needed.
  • Prepares and maintains accounting Excel spreadsheets.

Required knowledge, skills, education and experience:

  • Knowledge of accounts payable practices and general accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Good working knowledge of relevant accounting software
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Prior experience with Smartsheets and/or Excel
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM
  • Non-profit/ grant experience
