About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Lead Electrical Engineer to drive hardware design from product concept to mass production. This a rare opportunity to own end-to-end system solutions and shape their technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own electrical subsystem design from concept to production
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and success criteria
- Convert requirements into schematics—lead PCB layout for DFMA and prototype builds
- Plan and run functional verification; track and resolve issues
- Coordinate electromechanical integration with mechanical engineers
- Own harness design for EMI, serviceability, and reliability
- Manage PCB supply chain, alternatives, cost/lead time, and EOL risk
- Sustain released hardware until end-of-life
- Lead root-cause analysis to eliminate field issues with our service team
About You
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Prior experience with design and production of mixed analog and digital circuits
- Strong electrical design fundamentals in motion control systems (electric motors and actuators), sensors, and user-interfacing hardware (lighting and displays)
- Proficiency in PCB design software (Altium, Autodesk Fusion, ExpressPCB, etc.)
- Proven track record shipping mixed-signal PCBs to production
- Ability to operate as the sole electrical engineer with full lifecycle accountability
- Hands-on experience with motion control or other power-dense electromechanical systems
- Understanding of trade-offs across performance, cost, schedule, and risk
- Strong test bench skills and methodical failure analysis
- Crisp technical writing and communication
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
- Comfort with small, fast teams—you’re excited to tackle the hard problems
- Experience with common digital protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, MIPI) is preferred
- Proficiency in automated test scripting (Python, C++, etc.) is preferred
- Basic understanding of mechanical design fundamentals is preferred
